Blizzard reimbursed all my stuff, yay. Also Festergut bit the big one, so now I just need Rotface's acidic blood and shiny new axe time. That had me a little stressed! |

New after hours project: Barn Owl mask. Going for something stylized but sorta realistic-ish. Just trying something a little different. I adore barn owls so i wanted to try a creepy mask of one. Fun!
Vision through the tear ducts ( or might try a trick I have in mind with clear lenses) It will be cast in plastic and copies will be for sale like the other masks i have made. Iam working on it on my off hours so hopefully it will be done in a week or two :)
Reference book is Owls by Floyd Scholz. |

I’m expectorating. Which is gross, but also a good thing, because that’s usually the last phase of plague. Have the humidifier running bedside, and if I’m feeling anything less than 100% tomorrow I’ll be skipping Pizza Naughm to avoid passing the crud.
Miss Toes seems to have gotten in a fight with one of the neighborhood cats. Not bloody or anything, but there’s a bit of a limp, so I’ll be keeping an eye on that over the next day or two. Yay, vet bills. At her age, probably best to transition her to a fully indoor cat now.
Also, another piece of the puzzle:

Blizzard Support. Rargh I hate you right now.
So as some of you know, I'm my guild's choice for Shadowmourne, so I've been stockpiling Primordial Saronite. I was up to 17 personally! Guild has 3, the others I could easily get. Apparently, 8 that i purchased from the Auction House were from a hacked account. Blizzard sends me an email stating that they're taking those 8 to give back to who was hacked, and would reimburse my 16,000 gold that I spent on them. Cool, I don't care much. Go to the mailbox to see what they've sent.. 8 primordial saronite. They took 9, and reimbursed 0 gold. Well that's a pisser-offer, isn't it? Now i have to deal with customer support to get my shiny object and all of my money back! Stupid Blizzard. > |

| Hi there! |
[Jan. 3rd, 2010|11:05 pm] |
Work in progress, one of those sorta-secret (but you can probably figure it out) kinda project thingies I’m trying to crank out for someone in time for FC:

Also have to repair one of Scab’s gauntlets and paint-and-Velcro-ize a new balaclava (or maybe just sit this one out). |

Final grades came out! ( Semester recap go go go! )
S-so now that Christmas and new years are over, I'm pretty stressed about next semester. Been doing a lot of correspondence with my advisor this week and it would seem that I've used up all my dry media classes? Two good newses to go with that! First, I get a break from charcoal butts. Yey! Second, I only have seven courses left to fulfill my AA degree [Once I get that, I can build off that foundation to get my BFA! WHOO]! Th-the bad news is that the next year consists of introductory painting classes and introductory computer classes.
hyaaaarrrrggghhhhflkjslkjffff
Next semester looks like:
LA 202: English composition - Persuasive argument hoorah, this is my last composition requirement! I tried to sneak into "writing for comics" or "intro to/history of fantasy/scifi" buuuuut the only other class I could substitute was perspective journalism and that did not sound enticing.
ILL 133: Digital media 1 - intro to photography and Photoshop flkjfff th-this is one of those "this is a layer!" and "this is how to make a selection!" classes that I need as a prerequisite for Digital media 2 [illustrative digital imaging, lol digital painting] next fall. DARN MY TECHY SELF-TEACHING, I FEAR IT WILL RUIN ME. I am sort of looking forward to the mandatory Photoshop overhaul, though; I've been running CS2 for a couple years, so I don't feel too bad about getting CS4. [a-although I hope that doesn't mean I need a new graphics card!?]
FA110: Still life painting HI, DO I HAVE ANY WISE SAGES OF PAINTING ON MY F-LIST XD;? WHICH PAINTS DO I EVEN GET, OIL OR ACRYLIC?? W-we get to choose one, right. I have heard just a little en passant about each, like oils are more expensive and have richer colors but take forever [or never] to dry; and acrylics dry quick, are much cheaper, but are of a lesser quality? How much of that is true? I suppose it'll be easier once I actually play with them...I-I've never painted seriously before not ever ever ever I am scared to death of soiling things, which is why I stick to dry media religiously. Hi, I would appreciate some advice if you've got any ;;;;;.
Sorry for the rambles, it's just what's been going on 8I. Doing an art dump later. I got to start a new sketchbook this week! 11x14 feels so much larger than a 9x12 ehehee I am...really amazed at how much junk you can fit on one page XD;. Wow.

Back from Montreal, was there for New Years. Good times with friends, though rather unfortunately the natives were extremely rude o_O From being sworn at by a waiter, to nearly being hit by cars, to people openly sneering when hearing you speaking english. I was hoping the rumors about that kinda thing were untrue, but ah well. Service was so terrible to the point that the best we did get was at a Burger King. Yeah.
It was a fun experience, but we're not going back next year XD |

Well! There went the double 0s! Our celebration was...kind of uneventful, actually. Spent the Eve playing taboo [flkjfff I am so bad at this game WHY DO WE PLAY THIS GAME] and making New Mexican Taquitas [which, I am told is the appropriate spelling thnx word]! My mom grew up eating these the "correct" way...none of this shredded beef business, these are crafted with copious amounts of ground beef, secret spicy spices, and cheese for the insides; roll that in a corn tortilla and fry it twice to ensure crispy perfection. It's been a tradition to eat them on New Years Eve for as long as I can remember, but we haven't for the last couple years because they are a royal pain to make. Oh precious heartburn, how I've missed thee~
OH. RIGHT. GOALS.
( In no particular order... )
What about you darlings? Any goals for the New Year?
